Dr BORI FEHÉR is an architect, social designer and design strategist focused on resilience and sustainability. She is the Co-Chair and Co-Founder of the Social Design Network. Bori is currently the head of Social Design Hub at MOME Innovation Center (Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest), where for more than a decade now she facilitates students and researchers in social, eco and humanitarian design projects. For more than a decade now her research focuses on the rural periphery, where she conducts practice based research with various underprivileged communities. Her doctorate that she defended with distinction focused on Resilient Communities – Opportunities of Social Design. Since 2014 she is a Visiting Scholar at the Maryland Institute College of Art Center for Social Design in Baltimore, USA. Previously Bori worked as an architect in New York and for Architecture for Humanity. She gave lectures about her work at various situations: TEDxDanubia, RISD, New York Design Week, Pratt Institute, Willem de Kooning Academie Rotterdam, What Design Can Do Conferences, Zlin Design Week, Royal College or Art just to name a few. In 2019 Bori received the Millenium Award from the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office, since 2016 she is a TEDxDanubia Fellow.
